Zidante was back out again this time in the Open Intermediate. I wanted to get another quick run into her to really consolidate her run at West Wilts and to make sure that Gatcombe hadn’t worried her, I didn’t want her to dwell on things as being a mare she can think a little too much.

I needn’t have worried however and she did another good test to score 31 then jumped another lovely double clear. She was foot prefect and jumped very confidently and is now firmly back on track. She won as well which was a great added bonus.

I also had Persimmon there, he was doing his first ever Intermediate and at only six is very young for this level. He was a complete super star and scored a 31 dressage and jumped a fantastic double clear to finish 2nd!! This was better than I could have hoped for and I was so pleased with how grown up and mature he was in both the jumping phases.
