Having returned from Rio only four days previously it was credit to my great team that we had three horses running at West Wilts. Drewmain Firefly and The Last Euro in the BE100 and Snow Wind SN in the Novice.
Drewmain Firefly is improving all the time and did a super test to score a very competitive 27. He then jumped brilliant clears in both the show jumping and cross country to finish on his dressage score in third place.
The Last Euro did a lovely test to score 30.8. He then jumped a super clear in the show jumping to be really well placed going into the cross country. Unfortunately the cross country didn’t quite go to plan, he gave me a great ride bar when we had an annoying 20 penalties at one of the most straight forward fences on the course when we had a miscommunication with our steering!
Snow Wind did a great test in only her second Novice to score 29. She then jumped a lovely round in the show jumping and was very exuberant. She was very unlucky to have one down when she barley breathed on it. She jumped a great clear round the cross country, I just went steadily as the ground was firm and I want to produce her for the future.
