My season got under way at Aston with three rides, Very Special Z in the BE100 open and Vendredi Biats and Acis in the BE100.

Very Special Z was having his first run in quite a while and was a star. He did a lovely test to score 26.5 and led his section. He then jumped a super double clear to win his section comfortably. It was great to have him out and running again and feeling on such great from.
Vendredi Biats has matured a lot over the winter and enjoyed a bit of hunting with Ben. He came out on fantastic form at Aston he did a stunning test to lead his section and scored just 18!
Watch our test here:

He was rather keen in the show jumping and although he jumped well he didn’t quite listen down a couple of related the distances which resulted in him very frustratingly having the last fence down.

He then gave me a wonderful ride around the cross country and finished in second place.
Acis, like his stable mates did a superb test to score 21.5 and also led his section.
Watch his test here:

Unfortunately he slightly left his brain behind in the show jumping and very disappointingly had five down. It was extremely unlike him as he he only had two down all season last year. I think the excitement of being out at an event again was all too much!
He then made up for his lack of concentrating in the show jumping with a fantastic clear round the cross country.
So all in all not a bad start to the season.
