We had Alive doing the Novice and Persimmon doing the NRF. The day didn’t go quite to plan, Alive did a lovely test to score 27.5, which led the section. She then jumped a beautiful clear show jumping. She was giving me a good ride cross country, but unfortunately about 3/4 of the way round she had a very nasty fall at a corner. I am not quite sure what happened as she jumped exactly the same fence in the spring event. The only thing I can think of is that something took her attention in the distance so her concentration wasn’t on the fence. She was rather sore after the fall and will need bit of time to recover fully.
I to was quite sore and decided that it wasn’t in Persimmons best interest for me to compete him, as I didn’t feel I would do him justice.
