Wellington is a new event replacing Highclere. I only had Persimmon going and he was in the Open Intermediate. It was a lovely new event with three super cross country courses, lovely quite and flat dressage arenas and a show jumping ring that had a three day feel with all the trade stands around it.
Persimmon is on great form at the minute and did a lovely test to score 25.5 and led his section comfortably. The ground in the show jump warm up was a little tacky so I didn’t over jump him, he still went in and jumped an imaculate clear and felt very grown up. He then flew round the cross country to finish just inside the optimum time and won his section and his second event in as many weeks!
